Most regrettable hairdo? When I coloured my hair blue-black for the first (and last) time, I thought I would look like Snow White. In reality, I felt like the dead girl from The Ring.
How would you describe the vibe in your chair? It’s chill and fun…expect some good laughs!
Celebrity hair crush? Currently, I am so in love with Miley Cyrus’ euro mullet!
Hair specialty? Coppers are my favourite, love reds and lived-in blondes, fine hair, and vibrant colours.
Astrological sign? This girl is a freakin’ Leo!

How would you describe the vibe in your chair? It’s relaxed and casual, like visiting with an old friend, a sister, auntie…my guests are like extended family at this point!
Favourite hair accessory? These days it’s the Invisibobble. It leaves no marks and is gentle on the hair. I keep one on my wrist at all times!
Most regrettable hairdo? Many years ago, on NYE, I cut my hair really, really short. It was so short it was spiked all over. That wasn’t a good look for me…
What led you to where you are today? Fate. I never dreamed of becoming a hairstylist but I fell in love with it and still do more every day.

What is your favourite thing to do when you are not in the salon? Working out at the gym.
What’s your favourite hair product right now? For my clients: Kevin Murphy Dry Powder Finishing Hairspray
What is one piece of advice you’d give a young stylist trying to shine today? Stay true to yourself. Stay creative and definitely enjoy what you do.
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Being able to make people smile.

Favourite hair accessory? Extensions count, right?
What led you to where you are today? I always knew I wanted to be a hairstylist. Giving people a confidence boost is a great feeling, and meeting all kinds of personalities is a blast.
Hair specialty? Honestly, I love it all (except upstyles). But my favourites are probably colour corrections/vivid colours, extensions and balayage.
Favourite thing about working at Hair Co.? I’m still pretty new, so seeing my guests’ reactions to this beautiful space is amazing. The staff and support system here are also incredible.
Most regrettable hairdo? A lovely little bowl cut thanks to the 90’s and my Mother.
Astrological sign: Sagittarius - independent, sarcastic, brutally honest, and a little hard to handle (or so I’m told!)

Favourite thing about working at Hair Co.? The wonderful people I get to work with and the beautiful space! (and Hair Co. is close to Corriente’s, Kevin’s Bistro and Cibo)
Favourite meal? It’s a tie between classic eggs benedict and butter chicken!

What led you to where you are today? I started getting really interested in hair when I was 13 years old watching hair tutorials on YouTube as a hobby. I initially took hairstyling in high school just for fun, but I fell in love with this career and just knew I had to pursue it!

What is your favourite hairstyle of all time? Maybe the longer version of a Bob? What's that called again? A Robert? :P
What’s the most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding part of working in this industry is by far the relationships we get to build with our clients. They become family!

What's one accomplishment you're most proud of? Que the cheesy answer, my daughter.
What's the most embarrassing hairstyle you've ever rocked? Hair horn! In grade 5 I thought it was totally cool to braid my front bangs into one braid just sticking out of my forehead basically. But I didn't care cause like "I can braid now" mentality.

Favourite product sold at Hair Co.? Definitely the Davines dry texturizer spray because I love big lived-in hair.
Hair specialty? I’m really loving razor cuts and vivid/creative colours!
Favourite meal? Cheeseburger…extra pickles!

Professional Makeup Artist (8 years behind the chair) and Front Desk Associate.
What's one accomplishment you're most proud of? As a makeup artist I’ve worked at multiple fashion shows. I loved seeing my makeup looks on the runway. I’ve also done sugar skull makeup for the band members of The Mariachi Ghost.
Any hidden talents? Not sure if this is really a “hidden talent”, but when I meet people they are usually surprised I speak fluent Spanish. I was born in Mexico!
What's the most rewarding part of your job? Seeing my clients look in the mirror after getting glam. I love to see them feel confident and happy!
What makes you laugh the hardest? Going to Rumours Comedy Club with my friends. It’s always a good time there!
Who's your celebrity crush? Brady Olivera. Go Winnipeg Blue Bombers!

What led you to where you are today? I’m a third generation salon owner; and oddly enough, no one in my family actually does hair! I have a deep appreciation for the skills my team possesses and for how powerful this industry can be in terms of building confidence and human connection.
Favourite meal? That is TOUGH. Anything with tomatoes. Or sushi.
Favourite hair accessory? I am just rediscovering clips. I definitely overdid it in high school, but I have a new found appreciation for them. Loving our Chunks accessories.
Astrological sign? Taurus. And it’s accurate.

What led you to where you are today? Our grandfather started a hair salon business in the 80’s, so it was kind of destiny (if you believe in that). I started in the family business while in college and Megan and I have been able to bring our vision to life with Hair Co.
Favourite meal? Gotta go with a Winnipeg classic…Lotto Burger from Red Top!
Favourite hair accessory? A hat!
Most regrettable hairdo? My curly mane got so long in high school - it was both the best and the worst.
